Layfield Expands Medical Product Lines and Makes Surgical Respirators for Frontline Staff

Our priority is to protect the health and safety of frontline workers who serve the community. Health care workers and other frontline staff need a steady and reliable source of personal protective equipment. Our vision is to manufacture and secure a local supply chain of respirators that is not vulnerable to foreign political disputes or imports that fail to meet the Canadian quality standards. To accomplish this, we have collaborated with Maple Leaf Laboratories, a Canadian R&D and manufacturing company, to produce 50 million masks per year in Western Canada.

Layfield’s surgical respirator is compliant with Health Canada Guidance for 95PFE-L3/ Facepiece Filtering Respirators (FFRs). The 95PFE-L3 Health Care + Surgical Particulate Respirator is ASTM F2100 Level 3 qualified and has a Bacterial and Particle Filtration Efficiency of greater or equal to 98% (BFE and PFE ≥ 98%).
